Is Boopet free?
Yes. Pet profiles, the vaccination card, treatments, expenses, reminders, documents and the diary all work without paying anything and without ads. The Pro subscription exists to unlock reading documents from a photo, which has a real processing cost every time it's used.
Is the photo of the prescription stored anywhere?
No. The image is downsized on your phone, sent to our server only for the reading and discarded right after. What's saved is the extracted text (medicine, dose, time) and a record that a reading happened — used for the monthly quota.
Does the app replace the vet?
Never. Boopet organizes information that already exists: what the vet prescribed, what was given and when. It doesn't diagnose, doesn't recommend medicine and doesn't change doses. Any decision about the animal's health belongs to the professional who treats it.
Can anyone else see my pet's data?
No. Each account sees only its own animals, and that rule is enforced in the database — not just on the app screen. Pet photos live in private storage, reachable only through a temporary link generated for you.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Write to contact@boopet.app from the registered e-mail. It's free, needs no justification, and all your pets' data is removed from our servers within 30 days. The full step by step is on the Delete my account page (in Portuguese).
Do I need the internet to use it?
Yes — to sync, sign in and use photo scanning. Your data lives in your cloud account, which lets you change phones without losing the animal's history.
Which languages does the app work in?
Portuguese, English and Spanish. The language follows your phone's.
Where do I download the app?
For Android, on Google Play. The iPhone version is in the works — write to contact@boopet.app if you want to be told when it reaches the App Store.
